S.E.E.D.

S.E.E.D. is a dynamic, youth-driven group for students in grades 7-12 from the Ottawa Catholic Community and surrounding areas. Friends are always welcome!

Our Mission

We provide a safe, welcoming space for like-minded students to connect and explore how faith impacts daily life. Each meeting features a meal, engaging activities—including games, team challenges, and creative tasks—followed by a student-led "Faith Talk" with insights from our parish priests. We encourage students to come, either by themselves (guaranteed to make a friend) or with a friend!

Our leadership team includes two adult leaders (Jen Passwater and Kathryn Makeever) and four high school student leaders. Both leaders bring extensive experience working with youth and a passion for helping students experience the power of the Catholic faith in their lives.

Community Service

S.E.E.D. is dedicated to serving both our members and the broader community. The power of providing service to others to demonstrate our faith, maintain a positive outlook, and feed good about oneself is incomparable! All members are invited, but not required, to participate in group service projects designed to make a positive impact. Service projects are chosen based on the interests of the members and the needs of the community.
